Introduction to Tools Workshop

In this workshop you will learn tool use and safety, team building and have fun doing it! You will be trained to use a variety of shop tools and equipment to begin your woodworking adventure. Following your hands on training, you will form small groups, where you will collaborate to take a design from conceptualization to completion as you find solutions to everyday problems.

Are you in a wheel chair? There is wheel chair access in the building, however not all of the tools are accessible or set up to be operated safely by someone in a wheel chair. Some modifications in the shop can be made if we know in advance that you are coming.

Do you have a low scent tolerance? We ask that our participants refrain from using extreme scents, though cannot guarantee the workshop space will be scent free. Please know that sawdust is present in the shop and we have masks available upon request.

Are you ASL? We currently don’t have translation available, and would love to work with you about how you can access our workshops.
