Build At Home: Entryway Coat Rack
In this virtual workshop, we will review tool safety and best practices, then guide you in building an entryway storage coat rack for your home. This coat rack has a shelf and two cubbies to hold all your things and 3 coat hooks to hang your outwear. The coat rack dimensions are 24" wide x 15 1/2" tall x 6 1/2" deep. Your ticket price includes the instruction and the materials for your project. Shipping costs for your project materials kit are not included in the cost of the workshop.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: To have your materials kit shipped to you, you must register by November 26. If you will be picking up your materials from Rebuilding Exchange in Chicago, IL or DWD Headquarters in Walnut Creek, CA, you must register by December 1.
Required Tools
Certain tools are required to participate in the build portion of the virtual workshop. We have provided a list of tools needed for the workshop below. If you have any questions about the tools or would like recommendations, please email workshops@rebuildingexchange.org.
You will need the following tools to participate in the build portion of the workshop:
tape measure
drill
Optional tools (these tools will result in less errors and make the building process easier but are not necessary for completing the build.):
carpenter's square (any kind will work, i.e. speed square, t-square, rafter square, combo square, etc.)
clamp (recommended size 24")

No woodworking experience necessary

Your project materials kits will be shipped a week prior to the workshop. In addition to your virtual workshop ticket, you must purchase shipping to have your kit mailed to you prior to the workshop. NOTE: Shipping costs vary based on the state you live in, so be sure to select the correct shipping for your state.
If you live in the Chicago area or the East Bay area and would prefer to pick up your kit, instead of having it shipped, you do not need to purchase shipping. We will contact you closer to the workshop to arrange a materials kit pick up at either Rebuilding Exchange at 1740 W Webster Ave, Chicago, IL 60614 or DWD Headquarters in Walnut Creek, CA.
