Try your hand at some live edge woodworking, as Abby from Ruston Creations, walks you through de-barking, sanding, oiling and buffing your charcuterie board. This step by step process will give you the ability to learn new tools and woodworking techniques. Each person will receive their own unique slab of mesquite wood.

About the Instructor

Abby Ruston is a contemporary woodworker based in Austin, Texas. Her desire is to bring the unbridled beauty of nature into our everyday lives. She does this by incorporating the principles of Kintsugi, wabi sabi and shou sugi ban into her work.

Workshop Kit ($17 value) Includes:

  • Flattened live edge Mesquite board (dimension: 22” x 8”)

  • Chisel

  • Pick

  • Brush

Your project materials kits will be shipped a week prior to the workshop.

Required Tools

All required tools for this class are included in your kit that will be shipped prior to the workshop.

In addition to your project kit, you will need to havethe following items on hand for the workshop:

  • coconut oil

  • papertowels or two cloths

  • a cup or bowl of water


NOTE: We need at least 6 participants to run this class. If we do not get at least 6 participants, the class may be postponed or cancelled. You will be notified a week before the class if the class is postponed or cancelled.
